Have a POSITIVE mindset - if you are feeling positive it shows in everything you do.  Walk tall with your head up (how many bummed out people walk looking up?) stand tall and confident.  CONFIDENCE is a trust builder.  PASSION promotes ENTHUSIASM so be proud of what you do and what you believe in, we use this system and it works!  You can be excited, but not over the top, even if you feel it cuz you just signed 5 people and got a bonus of $500!

Ya gotta have THICK SKIN.  This is not about you.  This is a concept that works.  Some will, some won’t, so what, someone is waiting.  Do not take it personally if they do not see the value.  NO means NOT NOW in most cases.  You do not know what is going on with them, respect that and ask if you can check in with them in a few months.  You will be even more successful by then and they will see the value.  If you don’t have thick skin, wear a leather jacket!

Poor people know poor people, sad but true.  Look for business people, successful people who are willing to try something new, to step outside their comfort zone.  You are one, or you would not be here.  Find people that you respect and ask them to give you their opinion.  You can say, “Would you mind taking a look at somehting?  I know you have been very successful and you are a wise person.  I have something I have invested in and I respect your opinion.”  People like to help, they will do that for you and then realize that you actually have a gift for them!

Like most people, I can appreciate wanting to enjoy life and not worry too much about tomorrow.  Yet in today’s world, being practical can make a big difference in the quality of your life in that not so distant future.  How many people do you know who have a retirement plan and have systems in place so that they can enjoy their life at 60 or 75 years old, not having to sample pizza at the local supermarket, just to cover meager living expenses.  Don’t laugh, it’s very sad to witness and all too prevalent.  At that point, believe me, it is no party.  Even someone 20 years old needs to think very seriously about the reality of making a decent living.

When you introduce the concept of  www.ShopToEarn.net/suzyk to new people and they tell you that they are not interested, often before they even know what it is…you may want to ask them a few questions.  Show them that these are things that matter, issues that you have considered and chosen to take action.

Find out if they have a retirement account that is regularly funded and at what age they plan to stop working.  Is that adjusted for inflation?  Do they have a budget?  How much do they spend each month compared to what they have coming in?  Are they satisfied and optimistic about their future?

You do not need specifics as to how much they have saved or what they make.  The point is to find out if they have considered these kinds of very important issues.  If they smirk and act like that is a ridiculous question, then see what else you can learn about that person.  Do they have anyone who will be able to take care of them, if they are unable to pay bills, get health insurance, have a secure home?  If the only thing that they can tell you, is how much debt they have, then clearly this is someone who would benefit from an opportunity to improve their situation.

But do they want to?  See if you can find out why they are so resistant.  Is what they are doing now, working for them?  Are they satisfied with their quality of life?  What are their goals, do they have any?  How do they imagine their life in 10 years?  Getting married and having children is a nice vision, but did you know that by the time a child is 18 years old it will cost over 1 million $$ to educate, house and feed and provide health care for just one child.  Not to mention the importance of being emotionally fit to be a role model for that innocent life that you brought into the world.  Yikes.  Have you tried to buy a house lately, get a car loan, how about dental care?  How is your credit score?

All of these seemingly simple necessities involve having a steady income that is not only enough to live on, but provides enough $$ to SAVE for the future.  Don’t hold me to the details, but I know that saving $100 a month at age 25, when you are 50 you will have $1M.  If you wait til you are 35, you will have $200,ooo.  Big difference and won’t get you very far in 2035.  Where are you in that matrix?  Does everyone you know have that?  When you are young, it’s easy to believe you can always get another job somewhere, ..but how long can you do that?  Do you have a skill that somebody needs and will pay good money for? 

We do this to help people, to question what it is they have done to create a life of fulfillment in the years to come.  Money isn’t everything, it is just what you need to have a home, decent food, healthcare and some pleasure on a daily basis.  Love is most important, in particular self love; that is what it takes to be a responsible thriving citizen in your community.

I watched CNN’s Black in America tonight.  Having lived in Malawi and South Africa, I know the conditions in which many of these incredible people live and somehow manage to survive in a world that we could not endure for a week.  Chris Rock’s wife Malik, has committed to giving back, to creating programs that give young people an opportunity to step outside their environment, to figure out who they are, gain self esteem and make a difference.

What do people care about, where is their passion?  Ask them.  If you can’t take care of yourself, some one has to.  Do they expect the state to take care of them?  That means taxes for social services, community programs and all those things that they keep taking away while everyone is up in arms about the government and taxes.  Where is the money to come from?

We are creating our own reality.  We are finding a way to fill a need, to utilize systems that are already in place.  It’s not rocket science, it is just more creative.  Find a need and fill it.  Bottom line, it is a process of education.  We are successful when we help people to shift their thinking and to realize that in fact, this is something that is possible, that works, and it is not that hard.  The benefits can be life enhancing, maybe even life changing.  Go to any of these overviews and trainings and you will meet people whose lives have changed 180 degrees.  They are every day people who decided they wanted more, and they got it.  Are you one of those people?  Let’s find more and make it happen.

What impedes momentum? 

INERTIA: resistance or disinclination to motion, action or CHANGE…

*Take advantage of the momentum and propel yourself into greatness.  Do not be impeded by those who are unwilling to take action, to change.  This could be the most important thing that you do, something that will continue to manifest in your life, affect your future and those of so many with whom you interact.

When you know that you like something and that it works for you, you cannot lose your focus.  If a person has an “opinion” based on disinformation or hearsay, recognize the resistance and utilize the force within that moves you forward.  Amateurs convince, professionals sort.  Find like-minded, motivated people who realize that they are more than their “story.”  We all have one.

This is about accomplishment, making a difference, seizing opportunity, moving forward, changing - manifesting.  What do you want and how badly?

Aside from having the right attitude, which is not always easy (don’t talk about this incredible concept www.ShopToEarth.net/suzyk  when you are having a down day, it won’t work for you)  you want to have the experience of talking to people, because that above all else, will make you better at presenting - you need the practice, so when you are feeling good, talk to as many people as you can, it helps simply to get their opinion.  Ask them for feedback, tell them you are new at this and you want to get some experience, would they mind listening to you and together watching the  www.24hourtour.net/suzyk



What’s an objection?

Let’s break down exactly what an “objection” is.  An objection means that a prospect is “opposed” to something.  Opposed means to be in conflict with or be resistant to.   A couple of examples are:  

A person is opposed to war - meaning based on their belief that there shouldn’t be war; they are against (in conflict with) war.   A person is opposed to divorce - based on their religious beliefs they believe something bad will happen to them later if they get a divorce.

A person is opposed to eating sweet potatoes (are resistant to eating them). An example related to MLM is a person being opposed to network marketing - they’ve heard some false things in the newspaper about network marketing and believe it to be unethical. Another example is a person is opposed to selling (in general) - earlier in her life she was trying to sell Girl Scout cookies and didn’t like the feeling of being told “no.”  So she made up her mind that “she was not good at selling”; therefore now she is opposed to it.

The distinction between being “in conflict with” versus “resistant to” is how strong of a position do they take against that which they are opposed to.   If they easily shrug it off - they were resistant to it… but if they’re willing to die for it - they are definitely in conflict with it!

Two main types of objections.There are those objections that are expressed (meaning the prospect tells you exactly what they are opposed to) and there are objections that are unexpressed (meaning the prospect has an objection but won’t tell you what it is). The objection, “I’m not interested” (without any other explanation) is a great example of an unexpressed objection. The prospect is not telling you exactly what they’re not interested in.  An unreturned phone call is another example of an unexpressed objection.  
 
Unexpressed objections are normally the end of working with that particular prospect.    Examples of expressed objections would be when the prospect says, “That’s one of those pyramids.” Or, “I don’t like sales.”

**sounds to me like he is saying when people are non-responsive or that resistant, don’t waste your time and set yourself up for rejection and disappointment.    Remember, amateurs convince, professionals sort.  Move on, find a brilliant, motivated person who sees the value and enjoy THAT connection!

Where do objections come from?     An objection can come because of misunderstandings from things the prospect has read or heard.     An objection can also come from an experience - as in they’ve been in M.L.M before or have looked at M.L.M prior and have decided against it.
     
Also, an objection can (and most often does) come because the prospect has doubts whether they can succeed at network marketing. I group questions and objections into one category only because how you handle them is similar. But you should be aware that whether the prospect states something as a question or an objection it’s a good idea to measure their degree of opposition.   This will tell you how much assertiveness to use in handling the question or objection (see Communication Quality number 4 - Use the Right Amount of Assertiveness) in Brilliant Communicator.

What’s the purpose in Handling Objections?     The purpose (and the only purpose) of handling an objection is to help your prospect get past what is currently stopping them from achieving what they need, want or don’t want.       The wrong purpose in handling objections is to get the person into your business.   What’s the difference? EVERYTHING!     The moment your prospect gets the idea that your answers ARE FOR YOUR GAIN - they withdraw and very often every objection becomes an unexpressed objection!   I visualize a turtle’s head withdrawing into its shell - it is very difficult to get them to come back out and when they do they are very skeptical.     Of course you want them in your business… but the entire time you are with your prospect you must be interested in helping them get what they want, not what you want.      

Getting them into your business is only valuable IF THEY DECIDE that it will serve them to do so. It does you no good to convince them to join you as you’ll have to keep convincing them. So your purpose in handling their objections is simply to help them past what’s stopping them - keep this as your purpose and you’ll always say the right thing and you will be surprised at how easy it is to handle objections. Ahhh, spent a warm week in the desert nursing “me mum” elder caregiving…  Now there is yet another tremendous opportunity for personal growth.  She has an amazing constitution, which gives me a good base to build upon, just have to avoid the 200+ pounds of leaking ammonia that a Chevron plant here near LAX just reported they had been allowing for the last 2 months.  They “say” that they have a permit to release certain amounts of ammonia (yikes, oil business residue) and it is “not hazardous to human health” except oh yeah, when it bonds with other chemicals causing “smog” and x amount of parts per million causing respiratory whatever.  Anyway…

CHANGING PERCEPTION is the key to changing one’s beliefs.  Everyone needs to update their belief system, to re-examine old and new concepts that prevail in this ever changing  REALITY.  

Perception is the KEY to changing unhappiness into happiness and illness into wellness; poverty into wealth or shall I say a sense of lacking into that of abundance.  

We can only change perception by shifting our identification.   When we IDENTIFY with a noble, whole, loving, powerful part of ourselves, then we are able to perceive and experience the noble, whole, loving, powerful part of what we are perceiving. That shift of identification is a CHOICE.  

Perception is not a choice.  It is a consequence of identification.  Everything we do has a single aim: to see reality more clearly so we can see the connections and what is for our highest good. There is nothing that we need to alter or improve except our identification with the truth of who we are in our greatness.  

The greatest impulse toward this end is to identify with what we are attempting to express in this life and particularly at any given moment.  When we actualize this potential, we are aligning ourselves with our life purpose.  

Remember that what you identify with is a choice, and changing identification, changes perception.   And changing perception changes experiences.
