Are you a leader?

Guess what…it’s a trick question.  Want to know why?  Because at any given moment of your life you determine whether you are a leader or whether you aren’t, with your actions.  It’s not something you can say “yea sure, I’m a leader.”

So what does it mean to be a leader?  First, it means you have firmly made the resolution within yourself that you will rise to the challenges of your life, and meet them with the leadership mentality.  The mentality that there is no obstacle you cannot overcome, no challenge which you can not endure, and no problem that will cause you to give up your goals.

The leadership mentality is simple.  It’s having the confidence and belief that if you truly focus your mind on something you will have success…and you KNOW that you can help other people do the exact same thing.   Leadership in network marketing is absolutely crucial.  We are in an industry that revolves around people becoming leaders, building organizations, and creating more leaders. If you aren’t a leader yourself…you will have a very difficult time to get thousands of people to follow you in your business.

When you ARE a leader, thousands of people will see that and follow you at will. Leaders are the ones who make all the big money in network marketing and you don’t have to be just one kind of leader. There are all sorts of leaders, with many different styles.  Some outspoken, some not so loud and in the limelight. But the defining characteristic of a leader comes down to HOW MUCH they help EMPOWER the people who are in their organization.  How much do they HELP their people believe in themselves, build their confidence, and execute the tasks that create us money in this industry efficiently.

That is the purpose of a leader…knowledge and execution. So how do you become a leader you say?  Simple…   YOU BELIEVE YOU ARE ONE.   Now here are some things that can help you believe you are a leader.

1. When you are in the trenches everyday working hard FOR YOURSELF, you will feel powerful, resourceful, and determined. 

2. When you continuously empower yourself, educate yourself, and inform yourself then you will know you have value to offer others. Always be reading the newest books, taking important courses, or staying connected with people in the field who know what is working RIGHT NOW.   Plug yourself in to empowerment and watch yourself grow.

3. Give back. Do things selflessly for other people. Show yourself how kind and caring you really are. Open up your heart and take on a servitude attitude, like you are truly on this planet to help…and that’s what you really want.  Let the joy of helping another person to reach their goals, overcome a sickness, or get through a hard time be one of the most important things in your life…and you will know you are a leader.

I am absolutely making you a promise right now.  If you do these things, if you work on these things every day, you will be rewarded with everything you ever really wanted in life.  I promise. The deciding factor to whether or not you build a huge network marketing organization, whether you feel satisfied with what you have done while you were on this planet, or whether you help lots of people will be YOUR DEDICATION to living this kind of life.

How earnest are you? Some will hear this and make no changes.  Some will hear this and it will cause yet another little shift inside them. The accumulation of those “little shifts” eventually turns into a BIG SHIFT.  One day, you will look back and say “wow, I have come so far, and I am so happy with myself.”  But that won’t happen unless you start taking action right now.  Unless you start implementing changes in your life to become the leader you know you can be.  

If you don’t do that…don’t expect anything very new to come into your life.   You get what you give. Start giving incredible things to this world and you will get incredible things back.

Insight is an activity of soul that manifests in the personality, so an environment has to be created in which the insight can arise.

The following four steps are the basic procedures for gaining insight and being creative:

1. Every new process or birthing in life, which is what creativity really is, requires a focused purpose. There must be a kind of intensity of purpose that you want to pursue or fulfill. You therefore must have some passion about the issue or area of life for which you are seeking insight. You must really care about the issue, and be genuinely interested in it. Your attention must be absorbed by it so that you can focus on it and not be distracted by lesser interests. 

2. If any particular skills are required to understand, appreciate or express the insight, then those skills must be developed. If there are any materials required, then those materials must be assembled. If there is knowledge required, then that knowledge must be gained. True knowledge is based on experience.  On a personality level experience precedes understanding.

3. Once we have acquired sufficient knowledge, skills and materials, and still feel very dedicated to the pursuit, the amassed energy of it will begin to take over. We must allow it to do so, and we take a subservient role toward it. There is a gestation period, a time when we allow the passion and wisdom to guide and give impetus.

Thinking does not create insight. So at this stage we don’t work at thinking to create, but become receptive long enough so that insight can unfold as revelation in the brain. Insight usually occurs when thought is suspended, or at least it pushes thought out of the way. An insight contains a lot of information. It is a type of wholeness, but appears suddenly. Thought is needed only afterwards to unravel it or apply it.

4. The final stage is manifestation of the insight into some practical or concrete application. The insight will likely be ‘larger’ than our ability to manifest it with a high degree of accuracy or perfection. The more knowledge and skill we have the better our expression of it.

Insight must lead to change and creative expression. Otherwise we betray its purpose and block ourselves from further insights.

I do have a very important revelation to impart to you all.  I have been researching, gathering knowledge, honoring my truths, pondering and allowing my experience to guide me to a new level of action in regards to “what works”.  I will be delivering my conclusions to you very shortly.  By jove, I think I’ve got it.  It’s 2009 and the internet highway is the shortest route to success.  I have chosen the vehicle, I believe you will want to take it around the block and then keep on going!  Get ready for the journey.

Why do so many people settle for so little? You do not have to place yourself among them. The world is an abundant place. Abundant with opportunity, abundant with good fortune, abundant with ideas, and abundant with love.

Reach into that abundance and take what is rightfully yours.  It is your inheritance, gifted to you simply because you are a living, loving human being.  Let yourself have it. Do not fail to reach for it or fear that it will not come to you.  How can it come to you if you do not reach for it?  Do not be content with so little.  Reach,  stretch,  for something big.

I have been researching some very successful INTERNET MARKETING programs, actually “AUTHENTIC MARKETING” is a better term.  Yes, we all did what they tell us to do:  make your lists, talk to friends and family, warm market, cold market, cold calls, faxes, cards, booths, brochures, flyers, personal visits to professionals, those you think could appreciate your opportunity, you name it, we have done it.  So then what?  Without a steady source of interested people, no matter how great it all is, you will not achieve that which you desire…success in network marketing.

I believe it is a new era, with new technology that seeks to utilize new systems that are already functioning successfully and SO many of us are not aware how to tap in to that.

The key to success is simple - you have to have people who see value in what you have to offer.  You have to “find your TARGET MARKET” and I believe that they are all searching the internet.  Millions of people with millions of reasons why…

Now all you have to do is HELP them to FIND YOU.  I think I have found the system; extremely user friendly and you don’t even have to talk to anyone.  Incredible tools and everything is all set-up for you, just plug in your information.  I am SO excited.  So stay tuned all you introverts that believe you are not a “sales person”.  You sell yourself everyday, just being in the world, but I feel you and I want to give you a new way to enjoy what you believe in and share it with others. Oh, and it also includes a BLOG so I can finally get a better sight.  Seems if you want it, you just have to do it yourself, or in my case, learn how.  I am almost there.  Never had a mentor, so I’ll just be my own.

Have a POSITIVE mindset - if you are feeling positive it shows in everything you do.  Walk tall with your head up (how many bummed out people walk looking up?) stand tall and confident.  CONFIDENCE is a trust builder.  PASSION promotes ENTHUSIASM so be proud of what you do and what you believe in, we use this system and it works!  You can be excited, but not over the top, even if you feel it cuz you just signed 5 people and got a bonus of $500!

Be CONSISTENT in every thing that you do and say, keep your word and keep your promises.  You must be ACCOUNTABLE and this involves being ORGANIZED.  The www.SHOPtoEARN.net/protect  virtual office is so great for that.  Everything is all there and organized for you, available to you 24/7.  But you know, it helps to stay as organized as possible in every aspect of one’s life, reduces stress, for sure!

Be HONEST and be KNOWLEDGEABLE.  If you don’t know the answer to something, be honest and say, “I am not sure, I will have to get back to you on that.”  That gives you a chance to learn (you can call me) and a reason to call your referral back again!  Listen and learn who needs more details, if so, give it to them.  If not remember, it is better to SHOW & then TELL.

Ya gotta have THICK SKIN.  This is not about you.  This is a concept that works.  Some will, some won’t, so what, someone is waiting.  Do not take it personally if they do not see the value.  NO means NOT NOW in most cases.  You do not know what is going on with them, respect that and ask if you can check in with them in a few months.  You will be even more successful by then and they will see the value.  If you don’t have thick skin, wear a leather jacket!

Believe me, no means not now.  I met a guy at the Millionaire Mind.  His friend asked him for 8 months to take a look at the www.24hourtour.net/protect.  He said no every time, deleted e-mails and voice mails.  Then one day he goes to his friend’s office, they share lunch and he looks at the TOUR.  He sees the VALUE, loves the concept, signs up immediately and got 10 people in his first 30 days=$4100  Who knew?

TIME & MONEY is NOT AN ISSUE.  I have been saying this since day one.  It is all about V A L U E .  This makes sense to us, of course, because WE SEE THE VALUE in having our own portal and getting cash back every time we shop.  We have seen the results and the numerous successes.  Even the average Broker makes $457 a month, I think it is.  That pays for your monthly necessitites, maybe a car payment - it all helps.

LISTEN & ASK QUESTIONS, find out what they need, what are their concerns, and focus on those things that will prove valuable to them.  When they see the VALUE then you have a new member and we duplicate the process again & again.  Do the math, 2 x 2 and double that answer each time for 12 months, it’s over 8000 people in a year. 

Let’s be honest, those who keep working it and enroll their 2 referrals and then a whole bunch more, make a whole bunch more.  Does that happen for you in your present job.  If you work a lot harder and more hours, do you get a lot more money?

If you LISTEN, people will tell you what you need to know, they will give you information.  An opportunity is never lost, it just moves to the next person !  If they cannot see the VALUE, they are saying no to the opportunity, not to YOU !

If you have good friends and family who respect you (It’s hard to be a prophet in your own town) then try what Lil does.  “Give me your credit card, you have to see this, it is an amazing concept and will save you a bundle when you shop on line.”  I am yet to meet that person, but it’s a good ice breaker, and a way to say, seriously, have you seen this company,  www.ShopToEarth.net/protect

OVERVIEWS can be done ONLINE anytime, best to be with the person, either in front of the computer or on the phone together.  No computer, then print out a few pages from the website, the slide show and some documentation pages and do your own from a 3 ring notebook.  I have one and I use it a lot, very impressive, nice colors.

Poor people know poor people, sad but true.  Look for business people, successful people who are willing to try something new, to step outside their comfort zone.  You are one, or you would not be here.  Find people that you respect and ask them to give you their opinion.  You can say, “Would you mind taking a look at somehting?  I know you have been very successful and you are a wise person.  I have something I have invested in and I respect your opinion.”  People like to help, they will do that for you and then realize that you actually have a gift for them!

Apparently the # of millionaires is going to double in the next 7 years.  Tough times create opportunities and if E-Commerce will grow by $300 billion in 3 years and the Wellness Industry by $1.5 Trillion, I am on to something BIG!  I have been blessed in my life with a few right time/right place situations.  Now I want to bring it to all my peeps that I have met, in a large part due to my partnering with Mike Adams and Natural News.  Don’t worry all the rest of you, whether below or above, you are in the Winner’s Circle!

So here is the real truth.  This is not a walk in the park.  I have never been so challenged as I am now, working with all kinds of people, some who tell me one thing and do another, or shall I say…very little.  That’s cool.  I continue to learn so much about myself and how I can be better, every day I open my eyes!  Each of us is exactly where we need to be on our journey.  Integrity is a virtue, keeping one’s word is better that saying what you think people want to hear.  Do it for you, speak your truth and then live it.  Get out of your own way and take action, even on those days when it has been so brutal you just wanna give it up!

What we want to do is hook up with those who are on the path to success.  Where are those folks that know what it takes, who know that if we just work it hard for 5 years, we are golden - managing and maintaining what we have created.  So here’s an idea of what we think it takes to make it.  Are you one of those, cuz if you are WE NEED YOU !

Are you ready to redesign your life ?

Do you consider yourself socially/entrepreneurial minded ?

Do you enjoy the dynamics of teams and working cooperatively ?

Are you a good messenger with a wide circle of influence and /or the ability to create a network of like- minded leaders ?

Do you have strong leadership skills with experience as a coach, manager, mentor or educator ?  If you have the desire and none of this experience, can you do it anyway?

Are you interested in a business based on E-commerce and the Green Revolution, that is working for you 24/7 ?

Are you enthusiastic, self-motivated, goal oriented and have a positive attitude ? 

Are you willing to commit some time each week to a vision that has the potential to increase your income and empower you to help others ? 

Are you open to new ideas, other opinions and experiences, even if it means stepping outside your comfort zone ?

I was jubilant when I read Mike Adam’s recent Insider Alert from www.NaturalNews.com   Entitled, Revealed: The nutrition secret behind The Secret,  you can find the entire piece on my www.Specialized-Systems.com website, just click on Mike Adam’s Rawks for that page.  Though you may not want to adhere to it, your body will know as you read it, that it bleeds truth into every cell of your magnificent machine.  Take baby steps, start with eliminating all fragrances out of your life. 

I find it offensive when I have to smell other people’s poisons when I am in public, to the extent that I rarely go to cultural events that I used to love!  For some reason, people pour it on, not even conscious that they will be in huge crowds and everyone may not be enamored with Eve St. Whatever.  Hello?  Your behavior does affect other living beings, always.  The one that freaks me the most lately, is Glade air fresheners being marketed as Essential Oils (ha, at that low cost, I doubt it, have you any idea the process of extracting a true essential oil?) and they call it ”AROMATHERAPY” Exsqueeze me?  If you have any scented anything in your home, unless it is the natural, essential oil extracted from that real, natural plant - my dear friends it is a chemical.  Your body breathes that in, chokes and says “yuck, what in the unnatural world is that”  Then it runs it through your poor liver ( the hardest working most abused organ in your body) and finally stores it in your ever expanding adipose tissue…FAT.  Yep, that’s another reason it is so hard to lose weight, your body doesn’t want to release all those toxic chemicals that can kill you, they are stored in that fat to protect YOU !!

It seems to be the theme of the week, closing with reverence to yet another soul that has crossed over.  Yesterday it came in 3’s.  They say that beings die so that others may live, and so it is.  There is no denying the influence of Ed McMahon and Jonny Carson, especially for that time in our history, right baby boomers?  Farrah Fawcett’s crossing over if nothing else (yeah I know the poster sold a bazillion) will alert the masses to the dangers of radiation.  They fried her inards, literally.  I saw a piece from her special and she was drinking a Coke and some other dead food in her hospital room after surgery.  Whatever cells were still alive must have been freakin.  Poor Farrah, she just did not know enough, in time.  I admire that she searched for meaning through her dis-ease.  And now the legend and the man whose name is known around the world…I know, when I lived in Malawi and South Africa and the young kids saw me, they would start dancing and scream Michael Jackson, Michael Jackson!!  What an experience that was.  I embrace that exhuberant soul who never really got to live free.  Who of us was not influenced; to whatever degree?  I think there will be some horrific stories surface in regards to the pharmaceutical abuse that was most surely a major factor in his heart simply stopping.  I hold you in my heart Michael….  Energy! Vibration!  Electricity! Light!  It’s a matter of life & death.  Ground yourself…literally - tune in, synchronize, find harmony within your body and the planet.  Bless them all for they are surely in a more peaceful place.

p.s.  speaking of grounding yourself, my husband is working on an economical grounding bracelet so check with me before you go out and spend hundreds on fancy devices, some which may not be totally accurate in their claims.  Take it from the nerds, they know this stuff.  Tomorrow is Field Day, salute all those Amateur Radio nerds around the world who get on Ham Radios and make sure that they can communicate and get out information, even if we didn’t have electricity or computers!  Imagine that.  When there is a disaster, you’ll be glad you know a HAM !  That’s not the only reason I married him, but a good one!

To start right, do these three things below:
